RETAINER PROCUREMENT

Your firm takes on exactly as much as you are prepared to handle. We like to think of it as a one-stop shop for mass torts. Or, to put it another way, we offer an off-the-shelf product. There is no assembly required.
Of course, if you have been involved in mass torts, you know they are high-risk, high-reward propositions. A global settlement can be extremely lucrative. But there is also the chance that your case gets routed to an unfriendly transferee judge who dismisses the case, rules against you in summary judgment, or constrains the scope of discovery. Even if that does not happen, the bellwether trials might not break your way, leading to a lower settlement. In the best-case scenario, mass torts take years and can cost your firm enormous sums of money before you recoup a dollar.

There is no way to guarantee that any particular case will be a rainmaker. But our role is to make the process as smooth as possible on the front end. With our retainer procurement program, you simply purchase mass tort cases from us in whole or in part—either as sole counsel or co-counsel.
As sole counsel, you buy the case outright and take it from there. As co-counsel, you pay less on the front end, and we take a percentage of the eventual settlement or judgment; we will also act as your point of contact with clients along the way. These options are designed to suit your budget and your appetite for risk. As sole counsel, you are investing more upfront, so while the payoff is higher, so too is the potential loss if things do not go as planned.

Regardless of which option you take, we will have laid the groundwork for you, saving you the time and expense of finding, qualifying, and retaining clients—not to mention building your firm’s capacity to handle an influx of new cases.
